help me choose a tire.
help me choose a tire. I'm on 28 x 11.5 et streets now, they're old and its time for a new tire. Do I go with et street again or should I run a radial. Its a carbd h/c 347 w/ th400 and a brake, 5k converter, 12 bolt with 4.30's, weighs under 3000, not sure exactly yet. I def need to stay with a 28" tire but should it be a 325 radial or a slick or get wild and try to fit the 29"
did some measuring, w/ the bfh and bump stops removed and offset lca's i have atleast 2" inward of clearance, and on both sides of the tire w/ the 28" i have 1 1-1/8" on either side. Plenty of room in the upper front corner of the wheel well to go larger, the only issues i see w/ going to the taller tire would be maybe kinda tight in the wheel well, say a 30" is 2" larger 1" on either side, so that being said maybe have to trim the rear bumper cover a bit? The rear of the car is lowered, i cut a coil or coil and 1/2 off the stock rear springs.
