Is anyone out there running mid 11's with a 98-2002 Firebird with a stock (no power adders and no head porting) LS1 motor (meaning factory camshaft, TB, Valve train etc...at 3300Lbs?
If so, let me know what legal NHRA mods you made to your firebird and motor to do so and what you also removed from the engine/car to get the car to 3300 lbs.
Curious as I want to run NHRA/IHRA stock eliminator when events are near
Looking for feedback from those who may have already done this.
Most classracer.com guys are reluctant to give up any info
Thanks
Manny

This link is the fastest stock internals list:

Should tell you what may be possible at a certain raceweight as well as an idea of the trans/converter setup they did it with.
There is a sticky at the top of this section titled "weight reduction list". Look there to see what you can remove and how much each component weighs. I know in stock you can't run an aftermarket kmember so that's out, but you should be able to get to 3300 fairly easily. As long as you don't mind pulling the AC, Airbags, ABS, rear seats, radio/speakers, and power steering.

Check out these two threads. Be prepared to spend big $$ to run stock eliminator. Most of the "stock internal" cars on this site are not legal to run in Stock. Grab a NHRA rulebook and make sure you know what you are getting into.
