When I ran the six speed I was still running a hydraulic cam. With that combo I put down 484 rwhp and 491 rwtq n/a. I sprayed it and the dyno and we pulled 823 rwhp and 949 rwtq.

Race weight was around 3800

Yeah I weighed it once and it was a real pig. If I remember correctly it was 3820 or so. I have since removed some weight and I am eager to see where I sit now.

Mine is just a lil ole 383 with the stock crank.
best of 10.089 at 137.61 on 26 x11.5 ET streets and about ~600 rwhp with a stock Tq arm.

Now I have an adjustable race TQ arm, 28x10.5 ET drags and 4.11 gears, Subframes, LCA relocation extensions, spool, and hopefull about 725 rwhp along with an operatrional nitrogen push this time.

Not sure what that will get me......probably broken

I plan on going next thursday...maybe I could hold a record for a few days...because Roman and Alan Futral are both gearing up to smash the 9.88 LS record.

You guys have some really fast cars. The alum block cars are not really that much ahead. That makes me wonder what the true weight of the iron block is. Some of the times you guys have posted are better than equivalent alum blocks and it seems you guys weigh more.

Vince, the weight, IMHO, will only hurt you if you dont have lightened suspension pieces up front to counter the extra @ 75 lbs from the iron block. unless you are going for some records or winning class races in a series, the aluminum block wont help that much. again, adding lighter front pieces saving weight, you are right back, weight wise, were you started. as soon as i save up a few bucks i am def going with the cheaper non sleaved big bore of the iron block.

John I am definately going with lighter k-member, lighter battery, and I have already removed my front/rear bumper supports. That should put me back where I am now weight wise. My old setup had the potential to run 11's all day, but I never put the time in to get my 60 fts down below 1.95's. My only biggest problem is I personally weigh 285lbs. I plan to see if I can get my BF down to 6 or 7 percent and decrease muscle size so I can weigh 245 to 250lbs. I am kicking 12 percent BF right now and pizza keeps calling my name, therefore making it difficult to shed the weight. My spare and jack is out. I took out the rear seats and seat belts. I need to remove my 12 disc player on the weekends My plan is to be as close to 3500lbs as possible when I go out to our local street drags. Even though I like my ZR1's, I might switch to a lighter wheel with the same bling. I am more interested in MPH than actual ET. I want a 128mph plus NA car. It could run a 11.5 if all I care I will make up the rest on the spray..
