I would set the compression 4-5 clicks off of full tight, and the extention 7-8 clicks off of full tight. Tight compression helps if you come down from a wheelie. Also at my local track the shut down area is a little bumpy, so it helps keep the front end up when braking hard. If you are looking to do a big wheelie set the extention loose, if you want to keep the front end down at launch set them tight.

tight on compression and extension would depend on track surface... start 1-2 from middle towards loose.

I went 75% (24/32) tight on the compression with AFCO BNC's and 50% (16/32) tight on the rebound. Pulled the wheels 3 feet off of the ground on a 69 Camaro BBC. I started at 75% comp and 75% rebound and found it way too tight on the rebound. My AFCO DA BNCs had 32 adjustment settings, so I'm not sure what yours have.

I was told by AFCO to always reference your adjustments from full tight. Just because the chock is still adjusting 32 clicks out doesnt mean that clicks 27 to 32 were actually making a difference.

Foggedz I agree but that is what I used for a baseline. The shocks are only to have 28 clicks for full tight, but u never know about quality control sometimes.

Plus it's all trial and error. It took me about 6 runs to dial in the rebound.

I talked to Eric Staffel from Afco about where to start.. he told me,6 clicks form full stiff on the compression and 8 clicks away from full soft on the extension. That's coming right from Afco, with the BNC front shocks that Burkhart supplied with their front end which I do believe are the same ones that Madman sells, at least that's what Burkhart told me when I ordered the stuff a while back.

It all depends on the valving you have in your shocks. You really need to get ahold of who you bought the shocks from. They should be able to give you a tune up and tell you how to adjust them.
