Default Ice box to intercooler lines

What is hose and fitting is everyone using to go from the ice box to an a2w intercooler, and be compliant with any NHRA rules?

i'm not running a rule 3700, and I'm also not feeding a pt3000 intercooler, nor am i making 2000hp.

Blanket statements are awesome. If/when I upgrade my intercooler, I'll obviously upgrade my lines. At current, with ice water, we are around 75-80* IAT with it being a muggy 85* day. I'm ok with that considering what i have $$$ in my setup.

With that being said, I have tested cars making your power level. I personally run (2) rule 3700 pumps with dual 1.25" feed/return lines. I've tested on cars with older less efficient cores and there is benefit to running larger lines and a larger pump. One car I was involved with in testing with went had a rule 1500 and single 10 lines. We swaped the pump out for a 2000 and went to dual 12s and the IATs dropped 22-25 degrees. Went from 80s to 60s. 400" SBF/101mm turbo

I stated that you need a mininum of a rule 3700 for a high efficient core, reguardless of if its a 1000,2000,3000, or 4000hp. Those cores require 55+GPM pumps.

I bow to Phil's advice. If you have the option/ability/$$$, DO IT!

Look dont get all pissy, all I am saying is there are benefits to larger lines. Just because something works doesn't mean that the idea can't be improved on.

Don't misread the keystrokes. No pissy-ness(sp?) here. I'm a happy camper! You have a pm from me!

Trust me, when/if the time comes on my car, it'll be the setup you recommended.

Its all good. I wouldn't want you to use my setup or recommendation. I'll be more than happy to give you some information from what we've learned. Take whatever you hear from a few of the top guys you trust, pull the information together, figure out what works best and make it work for your setup. Thats exactly what I did, talked to a few trusted guys, figure out what works best out of all of the ideas and implement them.

Agreed, my local guy is Adam Jude, someone that's raced in the NMCA and NMRA series. Not a LS guy, but a damn good heads up racer and knows his XFI!

I'd prefer to use T-bolt clamps, the worm style clamps can tear rubber hoses. I used them on my goodyear hose and it tore them up pretty good.
