Taking out the Rubber stuff in trunk area
Im lmao right now! Well it def all adds up and if weight is a huge priority 3lbs is 3lbs less
As for me, im not that hardcore...yet. I think my car would have to be a full time drag car to worry about 3lbs.
that not alot of matt for the weight. Now remove the rubber matt under the carpet over the gas tank. scrape the colored foam out too and get another 6-7pounds for free.
save the bucket, look over the car for things to put in it. before you know it the 1-3 pound things will be 20-40 pounds in that bucket. Then you fill it a few times
under the carpet, theres the normal grey stringy jute stuff, but over the gastank there is a sqare or some thicker rubber/tar stuck to the carpet too.The foam in most of the trunk was 5 pounds. I cut out the spare and other side so didnt scrap that. And the foam on the floor all the way up to the bottem of the firewall, and the undercoating in the rear wheel wells was 8.5.

Check my build thread. I found tons of places there were 1-4 pounds. I've never had my door panels off yet, and still have 10-20 more before I put my interior back in.
