Iv been 1.5s..I think Im having some suspension binding, last time out I cut 1.67s all night no matter what I did, and smoked the tires leaving. I dont get any sway untill about 90-100 mph...and at the track I dont even notice. My front tires are a 205/50/17 on a 17x6 Bogart. I know radials/bias plys shouldnt mix but I dont drive like Im 16 anymore. Iv let my 17yr old sister drive the car..her only complaint is turning in a parking lot with the spool. Its not bad at all. I run them around 20-22in them to drive them, 15-16 at the track.

Oh ok they must not be too bad. I know a few friends said they feel the sway while street racing. Dr's are a little inconsistent but I have them figured out pretty good. Maybe i'll give the et streets a try next time around.

Thanks everyone for the responses. BayareaSS, that is impressive on a 17" dr. I would hope that I could do the same with a 15" rim. But I think I am going to take my BFG 275-40-17's to the track and see how it hooks and if I can make it through the traps. I think I will probably just end up doing the 27" qtp's as originally planned. Where I race, they usually divide up the classes as slicks and radials. Not dot and non-dot, so that is why I was looking to stay in a radial. If the BFG's don't make it through the traps then the 27" tires are a no brainer. If they do then I guess it will come down to how well they hook. I know the 275/50/15 hoosiers will be way better than the bfg 275/40/17.

et street bias ply tires do great for me and have lasted for ever and they are very consistent. I have over 100 passes on em and still cut two 1.55's and one 1.54 last night. Radials are to inconsistent on a 6 speed car for me. I could only get my 17's to half hook at really low psi. I don't have alot of runs on the radials tho, main reason is cause they are a pain in the butt with my manual.
