Default Put the car on the scales ....

Still a little ways from being race ready but we loaded everything in the car to see how much weight we got off of it this winter.

2550lbs without driver.

How much will it pick up 300lbs lighter?

Thanks to Madman for the help !

Nooooo 300#, it might gain .05-.08. You back the tuneup down until it runs 4.99. I know our car went from 3350 to 3000, I think it might pickup .05 or so.

I was talkin about 1/4 mile.

was thinkin right along with you .05 or so in 1/8th and 1mph.

Gotta go low to mid 4.9's to run up front.
We did go some 5.0x's last year.

I would think your 60 foot would drop more in turn dropping your ET and not bumping up as much mph... The weight loss of 500 lbs I would assume will benefit off the line more so than mph. I'd guess 1.5 - 1.2 10ths off and 1 mph more on avg..

depends on how aggressive you put the 1/4 mile tuneup. I'd say .05-.07 in the 1/8....if you can sustain strong power thru the 1/4 then I'd say a full tenth

Phil, I think his car was about 500lbs heavier... And I agree with you. That's why I'm thinking upwards of .1 in the 1/4 or maybe more if he pushes it hard enough.

After doing the math.... I think he may have been about 3300lbs w/ the driver.
I know it's down into the high 7s, but 500#s is a decent difference.

With the weight gone will you be able to put enough on the back tires to attain a 1.16 60ft?

That may be a question better suited for Brian. I think he's running a full slick too. I don't know how his suspension is setup, but I'm assuming coil over afcos w/ a madman touch :spy:
