Bulkhead help please
Bulkhead help please I am just about finished with my battery relocation to the spare tire well but I am trying to figure out if I will be able to pass tech. I'm going to use one of the braile lightweight batteries in a battery mount similar to the bmr one not a sealed box. I am running the factory plastics now, if I cut the spare tire cover to match the other side am I ok simply installing a wolfe bulkhead?
You will be o.k. with a wolfe bulkhead yes. Problem you're going to have is that little battery in the back fo the car isn't going to have enough power to crank the car very well.
Maybe you'll get lucky.. but I wouldn't count on it for long.

Thanks JL it's the biggest of the lightweight battery's i don't drive the car in the cold weather or anything so I figured it would be enough. I think I'm going to order the bulkhead next week I'll post up some pics. when it's all done

Just bring a jump pack with you when you go to the track, or are driving around for that matter. Just to be safe.
If it's going to give you a hard time I think it will right away. I know people that tried the 680 size batt's in the back of the car and that absolutely won't work.

I'll have to steal the jump pack from work for the first weekend out I guess, I put a pair of jumper terminals under the back on the side of the spare sump so I dont have to pull the interior out to charge or jump it
Nice way to go about that, just make sure you keep some grease on them so water doesn't get in there.
I like what Madman did with Mike Meek's car by putting the charging lugs behind the gas cap filler. I want to try to do that, since the fuel cell's in the nose.
