Default Drag Slicks How to's:

Can somebody post up a pictorial or a link for newbies that want to run big slicks on an Fbody. I don't have any pics of where to bash, cut, or roll to make the big baloney's fit. This would help out the people that are seeking information. I have fielded quite a few of these questions over the past couple of years.
I can explain where to grind, cut and hammer. But it sort of gets lost in the translation. Somebody must have some pics of how they got 28+ inch slicks to fit on thier car!!!!

Anyone doing the big slick install, and has a digital camera would be doing a great service for this board. Hell just point in the picture, show the cut, etc.

we have 29.5 x 13.5 x 15's under our current project but you probably don't want to modify the car that muchhttp://www.kyfbodies.org/vb/attachme...&postid=110364

Fast. I am running 28x10.5x15 with 15x10 Convo Pros (5" B/S). I had my 12-bolt narrowed 1 1/2" when ordered. I have no problems. No spacers. No banging. No grinding. Still have stock bumps in.

You can see the fit with the pictures at my POS web site in my signature.

This site might go down for a while later today, but there are pics there of how I fit mine. The cutting may have been overkill. I was trying not to run a spacer at all. Ended up with 1/4" spacer.

Great pics of what needs to be done to fit the slicks.

this is one i have bookmarked(as well as the ones just posted) and i think it does a great job, and it's for an even bigger tire.

Holy CRAP! Those tires are big. I didnt have to do nearly that much work to fit my 28 X 10.5's. Just a fender bashing session. I'm gonna see how bad it will be to put on my ET Street 28 X 12.5's today. I think it will need alot more work for those to fit, but not nearly as much as it took for those BFG 315/60's.

I'm gonna talk my buddy into putting 28's onto his Z-28, and have him take step by step pics, and do a right up. This should help EVERYONE that has gotten the slicks and skinnies virus.
