not wanting to drop a few hundred on the burk hart support either. sadly i dont have a garage to keep her in and texas heat is full of fail
yeah ive considered a few small pieces of aluminum or something just to keep some for. but the problem is the guy that helps me out doesnt have an aluminum welder
Only way to keep it supported is to make a tube support like the burkhart or mwc. Theres no way metal strips would lift up the sag on my bumper.

Mine was "OK" for maybe 2 years when it started to pull down on the sides of the headlights. I put some simple alum bars, that weight nothing and its super stiff now.
Even thought of doing something similar to burkharts desgin.....
Ultamitley I'm looking to save the most weight with the least cost.seems like removal and a few smAll piece welded in place might be the answer
