Max'd out, converter slip or what?
I noticed my car was almost on the rev limiter going through the traps in the 8th mile at about 103. Now I've used the mph calculator and it says with a th400/4.11/28in tire, I should get to 135 at 6800. The car went 6.73@102 with a 1.45 60ft time. Which inline for a cam/sprayed ls1. It's odd that i have conflicting info. Times say everything is ok along with how the car felt, but where the heck did my other 30mph go? So what is it? Normal or is something slipping?
The converter is a FTI 5000/5500
Car weight is arouns 3500

Lol I know that, just saying....top speed. But I talked to FTI and it's the way they designed it, it can only be sprayed through the 8th, but I can run it through the 1/4 n/a just fine.

Yep, I was basically just wondering If I could spray the 1/4, but it's not a big deal. We only have 1/8th mi locally. I'll be pulling some weight out of the car over winter, so that will tighten it up a lil to keep me off the limiter

You answered your own question. Its normal and yes your converter is slipping as your not giving it much room for a powerband. Stalls rated 5000-5500 N/A could easily change to a 6000-6500 (even higher) on spray.
