T56 4 Speed for Huneycutt....If you're going to mention SAM having a Liberty then go ahead say that Huneycutt's transmission didn't have 5th and 6th in the case, or 5th and 6th weren't connected which ever one it was.

thank god someone feels the same way as I do.

and Yes I run 9's NA, 8's on spray. I wouldnt call it a street car. But I am very pleased with my race car LOL But I did try to keep a lot of the factory appearance, factory dash, console. interior plastics, 2 Kirkley's. Its all factory location suspension.

Could be streetable rather easy though.

I don't think your car was built with money from other people that were supposed to get a product and didn't. I can't believe some people would actually do that. Owe customers money/product for some time and still come out to a race when the business is supposedly going under.

Trying to get there... I am 10.4 @ 132, car has 10.2s in it I know, been battling slick issues late this year.. Went 9.62 @ 144 on spray with same issues, looking for high 9.40s once I get suspension situated.. Still single disc clutch - spec 3 and all pump gas.. Drive a lot on street.. last year drove it home 5 hrs from Maryland to PA in rain mind you..
With a soft lok I am sure I would hit bottom 10s - With a little more gear, I could do high 9 N/A I think, but need less gear for the spray.. Not willing to do a soft lok yet as I hear they are not very streetable..

Early in year when slicks were still good I was hitting deep 1.4 60 fts, Ran my 10.41 with a 1.53 60ft spinning being Sidewalls are shot now, need rear adjustables to keep from hitting tires so hard causing sidewalls to get beat up.. Here is a screen shot of recent pass of rear tires just before it unloads.. Product of a short TQ arm...

The thread is for "STREET" cars.
Rob used a McLeod Soft Lok clutch in that application which is NOT streetable.

It is actually very streetable if you know how to adjust for the street where it performs like a regular clutch. Rob used to drive it around all the time even to the drag strip and tuned it on the street.

For example TJ from RPM transmissions drove from Indiana to Maryland(c6Z) and back on a McLeod Soft-loc clutch in a weekend trip. I believe he has 5000+ street miles on it.

You obviously have me confused with someone else.

I have driven Robs car for 25 + miles at a time when we were dialing in the tune. To be honest the soft loc has better street manners than most clutches .
