Default racing with restrictors

I'm going to be racing in local class Sand Rally that you have to put a 2" restrictor before the throttle body.

A friend of mine said you could put a vortex device after the intake that will twist the Air into swirl going in.

so my question is what could you do to get the most Air in even with restrictor?
what are your thoughts guys?

this is just asking for Trouble when racing about 250 miles with 7000 RPM
it just wont last with Forced Induction.

So your friend suggests you go to autozone and pick up a Tornado? I would try to reduce turbulence as much as possible by keeping the path to and from the restrictor as straight as you can. If it is allowed I would use a venturi shape to gradually neck down and expand the air at the restriction. Just like velocity merges on header collectors.
