Default 12" wheels Backspacing HELP ASAP!

Wanting to take advantage of some of these Black Friday sales. My car is about to go to Chassis Shop for a 25.3/Mini Tub/etc...I want to run 12 inch rear wheels. I don't have my Rearend yet so I can narrow it as much as needed. Want to tuck the tires nicely and have choices as to what I can run (true 10.5's, 325/315 or even 275 Radials). I just need to know what Backspacing is needed to achieve the "tucked look". Anyone have any first hand experiance with doing this?

you could run 6", 5", or 4" backspacing.... the "tuck" will be determined by the width of the rearend.

12" narrowed rearend (6" each side), 12" WELD alumstar 4.5" BS and WOLF minitub, every thing still in a stock location.

if i'd do it again i'd go with 5" narrowed each side, 4.5" BS or maybe 4".

Sorry, that's not correct. A 12" rim in the stock location would have a 8.5" backspacing. And narrowing 3" keeping wheel in stock location would be 5.5" bs, tucking rim 1" would be 6.5" bs.

by "stock location" i meant the LCA and the other parts, because i'm racing in a stock style suspension class( where you are not allowed to relocate any thing)

i'm not a expert but i'm sure it's 12" wheels, true 10.5 ,4" BS (Not 4.5" , just checked the invoice) and 6" narrowed each side (total of 12") rearend.

here is a link for some pics and spec:

and you used the upper hole in the panhard bar mounting bracket,,,,
and cut the excess off ,,,,, and built a new panhard bar ,,,, only

now get ur *** back to working on your leaky pile !

as for the OP , definatly don't go with 6" from each side , the clearances are sooo close when you do so!
