Early Reports From Team APE @SBSO

I just got a call fom Rudy, aparently there was some weather to deal with in the morning and racing began a little late.

We took down Tom Kempf's 2000 Z28, and it has run two passes so far.

First Pass 9.34@149mph

Second Pass 9.37@146mph

We are running in the top gun class, and as far as I know we have the #1 time of the day so far.

Its official Tom's car won the Top Gun class.

Great job and congrats to the crew, wish I could ahve been there to see it.

On the 9.37 pass he ran a 5.90 1/8 mile, but had to step out of it hence the loss in MPH from the previous pass.

There is certainly an 8 second pass in the car, and it is coming soon. We are still ironing out the combo, so many things were new in Carolina that we never really got to tweak things.

North/South here we come. 3-peat perhaps?

We Won the Cartek Shoot out , then we just won our class at SBSO, so winning our class at North/South would be a 3-peat.

I was out there, people in the stands were laughing because he couldnt do a burn out, but they were in aww when he took off.

There is a thread in the actual SBSO forum that has a video of the last pass of the day. It was a 9.6x@13xmph, some guy walks past the camera just as the board lights up.
