No wonder your mph is so low.
Have you considered the MT drag radials? 275 60's on your car would keep you at the 28" size and increase your mph as well. Best of both worlds. Car will leave quicker as well.
Those slicks are bogging you down. What're you runnin-12 psi or so?
You'll be running like 20-22 psi in the DR's and they won't grow on the top end-effectively giving you a steeper gear and bringing your rpms up.

tires are expensive.. use what you have.. why spend $400 on new tires when you can buy a used cam and new springs for that..??? then you can use the tire you have and be WAAAAYYYYY faster....
....u have the tire and gear for cam and spray.. so use it

Ran them at 15psi. I'll look around fog a used pair of drag radials then, thanks

If I switch, I'll be selling mine for roughly the same amount of purchase price of used 26's. I'll only pay the $10 or so to the tire shop for the switch.
Going with a cam i would most definitely need a tune which is $300

My 441 lost nearly 5 mph going from a radial to a bias ply tire-FWIW.
I think your car will really like the DR's. No way u need a 28" bias ply tire. It will leave quicker, be much more stable up top and your MPH will increase nicely.
Try it off the footbrake first and off idle so you dont pre load the chassis and no transbrake to start with.
You wanna post up your current settings? shock settings, spring rates etc?

Thanks. Shes a real sleeper, except for the MT's of course

I had a guy once ask me, "why would you put slicks on a v6?"

Last question:

being that i dont need 28's at my power level, should i go with some 26" ET streets or 28" Drag Radials? Or 26" drag radials?

My guess is that I need 26's to gain the rpm through the traps
so im thinking either 26" drag radials or et streets

I vote 26" MT drag radials.
