Default Trans shop called...Christmas came early!

My th400 is done!

-8 bolt pump
-JW ultra bell
-ATI hardened forward hub
-alto red clutches
-HD direct fed drum with 34 element sprag
-hipster RMVB with trans brake
-roller bearing rear section
-TSI aluminum deep pan

T-56 is sold and this bad boy is goin in over winter.

Hey got a ? For u will a stock th400 or th350 bolt to a ls1 then or do u have to put a bellhousing on it

It bolts up but u leave 1 or 2 bolts out because the holes don't line up. Many guys leave it this way. On mine I wanted the added safety so I cut the bell housing off and used a JW ultra bell that bolts on with the pump bolts. JW makes ultra bells that have the correct ls1 bolt pattern. They even make them to bolt a th400 to a 03 cobra. It's a nice piece and something like 6 x stronger Than stock. Cost me $300

Cool I've been think about pulling my t56 out and outing a th400 with a brake but I don't yet the m6 is really fun to drive and my wife has a 96 z28 that I really want to ls1 swap it it a a4 car so will that tranny bolt up just like a th400 missing one or two bolts
