Default wiring question

ive been half *** trimming up the inside of my race car / street car.

my question is this.

the big bundle of wires going back to the stock amp location. can i just CUT that big *** bundle up near the dash area?

will the car start? will the gauges work properly? will the electric windows function?

these are the ONLY things i need to know. it LOOKS like cutting these wires will kill the electric door locks but i dont have a key fob anyways so...

when i did this to my car, i cut near each connector & then traced the wiring to wherever it led to & cut it there also. i believe that some of the wiring that runs from the amp area goes into the BCM. i removed the radio, HVAC & other stuff when i did this to my car also & my power windows & locks still work also. good luck with the project.

yes, this is exactly what i wanted to know. thank you! i saw that some of the wires went into the trw key fob box , as well as the bcm. my car is also radio/hvac less. sounds like the perfect street car to me lol.

thanks.

Nice project!!! I think that your power windows door locks and central locking all run through the front of the door hinge. The rear hatch runs down the drivers side with your fuel pump. Personally I dont like the idea of a BIG SNIP take little bites so you can trace connectors like NSTY98LS1 said. It is easier than having to run new wires!!

ive got the left trace seperated. it contains ONLY the fuel sending unit/ pump wires and the tail light setup, and the hatch defrost, trunk release.

thats basically all i need short of the ignition and gauges working. lights too.

car is using a mechanical fuel pump as well.
