Won't be long!

Dude that thing is going to be one helluva sleeper.

No one is going to expect it to run what it does I can tell you that! With a little nitrous she'd be a money maker!

Well got the first start in. Still working out some small detail with the alternator as it keeps throwing belts.

And the some of the video:

I think your build is cool but don't kid yourself here.
RobZ had LOTS of tuning and track time to get that ET.
He also had a slipper clutch which puts ALL the hp to the wheels, same clutch set up as the S.A.M. car if I'm not mistaken.
RobZ could also drive his *** off and again-LOTS of seat time in that car.

QTP Barry recently went 9.57 N/A with his little 402-again slipper clutch.

Good luck.

Well looks as if we will be running in about a 5000+ft DA tomorrow if the weather forecast is correct. Any projections on the best pass of the day??? (If everything stays together of course)

Not going to say I told ya so, but....

I'd do at least 5000rpm if not 5400-5500rpm.

Call FTI or PTC.

You were right!!!

Stay with the same 4.56's or switch to 4.30's

Keep em' you'll have a solid low 10 second car with the right converter.

You wouldn't hurt anything I wouldn't think though by going to a 4.30. If you don't mind spinning it, keep em.

ended up going with a Coan 5600-5800 8" Converter w/ Super Sprag. hopefully have it in soon and give the car another test run later in June.

Hopefully the 31 spline Mosers, DS, and Spool stay together!

Nothing with an ET slick is a sleeper.

Hey OP, just watched your vids. Why are your 60ft times still in the 1.6x? That's killing your ETs.

M/T Et streets are spinning on me something fierce!!1

If you watch the video you can see it pretty good in the 1080p mode on youtube...

The Anti-Roll Bar, summit 3 way drag shocks in the rear, 4.56's put back in, 4200rpm on the 2step and some better tires, Hoosiers or MT ET DRAGS should make a good difference.. (Little taller tire than the MT ET Streets currently on the car)

Car currently has 90/10 shocks in the front, Lakewood lift bars, Stock upper Control arms rear, No Sway bar, Air shocks in the rear with 4-6psi in the right rear shock/ 0 in the left... If I drop tire pressure below 10psi I start to spin the rim about 4-6 inches inside the tires and the car is a SOB to control.

Right I gotcha, but at 1.6x the tires ain't the problem if you didn't pick up on that. The car looks rather odd when it launches. Seems like it doesn't want to squat in the rear to plant the power. Though I'm no expert when it comes to making a drag suspension hook....but my car 60s faster then 1.6 with less tire, more weight, and less power so I dunno.

If you look closely the car is doing the Gbody shimmy.. (Lifting the left front and putting 90% of the weight on the right rear.) it hooks briefly until the car torques over too hard and starts to loose traction/contact on the right rear..

The ANTI-ROLL bar from UMI is supposedly the cure for this problem...

Pinon angle is set somewhere around 5*up.

By no means am I an expert on this but with the uni body design of the 4th Gen Fbody and Torque Arm setup the car seems to hold "Square" better than the Gbody Frame design with lift bars. The car simply needs braced across the back..

Im also getting a little deflicition in the Axle Tubes on our 59 for 9inch...

Im sure the 1.76 1st gear on the Glide doesnt help much either, but Im in agreement with ya that those 60's suck!!!

why not use reg drag shocks for the rear or even stockers and then run an air bag.

Air bags will help - but a proper swaybar will fix the issue.

If you are on a budget look for a ATR 1 3/8" rear sway bar. They are hard to find now days but they flat out work. Check the used parts section on turbobuick.com

I don't know if the lift bars are really helping you at this point either.

My turbo regal just had umi lower control arms, atr sway bar, bilstien rear shocks, and 90/10's out front. It'd go low 1.5's on 275/60 mt dr's.
