Default TRex track results from sbso

well i put this in my old post in the dyno meter archives but here is the crappy and disappoinging results.
well the weather was horrible and not sure what the da was. still felt pretty strong. now for the times i ran, you'll have to break out the calculator to figure out what i could have ran, because i ran into a smelly problem
can you say "fried cluch" so try not to laugh to hard.

1st run. dumped from 6000. cluch spun all the way through first. let off eased into second ran through the rest 2nd and thrid, never botherd with 4th.
run was
60"= 1.92
1/4 mile 13.01@80mph coasting.

after the clutch cooled down, it seemed to hold a little, so i gave it another shot leaving at 2500, it held up ok riding it out
60"=1.85
1/4 mile 12.17@116.7
shifted second kinda easy.

last run. figured id bump it up a little.
left at 3000, sliped a little, 1st to 2nd also sliped a lil.
60"=1.89
1/4 mile 11.92 @ 118.8

pulls really hard up top, and puts out great mph. so i cant wait to see what better da and air quallity+ some 1.49-1.55 60's will do.

needless to say, i was pissed that the damn clutch fried on the first pass. time for a spec stg.4 hopefully somtime this week.

im also still at a dissapointing 3530lbs. so if i could loose another 200lbs. and get some 1.50 60's it should go 11.0 easy assuming 11.72. with just weight reduction and easily .15 in the quarter for every .1 in the 60ft. plus i havent had time to figure out how do drive this cam yet with 2 halfass passes. and im gettin a actual real dyno tune sometime this week since i have basicly a mail order tune at the moment.

Hi Rodney I was weighing your car at the SBSO event, it was for sure one of the heavier cars. If your clutch is dying, you're losing 1-4mph easily because of it.

good luck with the new clutch. I used a Mcleod Rev Lok 2 and that held over 200 passes in the low 1.5 range and 3515 raceweight

if that clutch is really that gone you're losing big mph, what was your 1/8th mile like? that will give you an idea because the clutch is going to slip the most down the track in 3rd and 4th which will totally kill your mph gains that would normally happen in the last half of the track.

sounds like a good start though, nice work.

1/8 mile was 7.70 some reason the track dont give mph until the end. that was on a 1.89 60ft. a bad clutch will slip more on the launch and on the 1st to 2nd shift than on the last half of the track. but the spec stg.4 or the revloc 2 will be in really soon cause i want to see what i can do in this la. weather.

Whatever you do, do not get the Rev-Loc 2! I had it in my car when I was a 6-speed, first one held for like 3 months with just bolt-on's, and then went out within a week after I put the cam in, and then they sent me a second revised one, and it went out within 3 weeks of being installed and took out 3 and 4 blocker ring (think that's what the mechanic said, not sure though) and a shift fork in my freshly built transmission! And that wasn't even with any hard launches on slicks, just street driving and a couple of low rpm launches on nitto's!!!! After that is when I said **** the 6-speed and put a Turbo 400 in my car!!! Personally, i'd go with the mcleod twin disk, or one of the specs, good luck man!
