Default Skinny Wheels and Tires

I am about to purchase skinny wheels and tires for the front of my TA. I have decided to put 15x4 wheels on the front. This car is only going to be used for drag racing and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions about which tires I should buy for the wheels?

Just make sure they clear the brake calipers. Race tires are expensive and don't last long on the street. Not to mention most are not street legal. If you decide to use small regular tires like off an old VW Beetle, (156R15) get good ones as they are going to be stressed.

Mickey thompson S/R radials 15/6/26. Speed rated and load rated for our cars, they are spendy but worth the piece of mind IMO.

The wheels I am looking at have a 1.75" backspacing. Will I need to run a wheel spacer? If so how thick?
