I am not sure you thought about this or not, but one of my dilemas is a roll "bar". I have an 1/8-mile track 40 minutes from the house and a 1/4-mile track about 1-1/2 hours. I have no issues with the 1/8-mile and it is mainly bracket racing and there rules state "Any car 6.40 and faster must have complete roll cage". I would like to do more at the 1/4-mile track, but it is an NHRA sanctioned track (Atlanta Dragway). I have not run out there yet, but from what I understand they are strict with the NHRA Rules ... if you are 11.49 or quicker and no "roll bar", you are going home!

yeah I know the rules, and my 11.50 time will probably depend on if I hook or not so Im probably ganna be on street tires to begin with.
the engine I have went 10.7 in a auto GTO on street tires. im sure I will do alot of shake down runs to get the feel of everything before I run it wide open. im thinkin my 418 should put about 530 to the wheeles and about the same tq. I also run a 18lb flywheel so my 60s are not ganna be the best either, I may need to get a tire that will allow for some slip to prevent bogging down

I have a complete set of Race Star wheels I might consider selling.
The only problem is the 15-10s have a5.5 in backspacing for my narrowed
rear end. I bought Strange Brakes front and rear and the screw in studs
have fine threads and the Race Star nuts have course threads.

Hoosier drag radials. They work great on my car.
I let my friend borrow them for some street races. His 408 made 530/500 and they hooked for him. He also has 4.10s. The tires were 275/40/17
