Default Loss of power et and mph

My camaro usually runs 10.50's on motor. The last 2 times at the track it has run in the 11.50 range. I have new plugs and wires and late last year, new valve springs. Today I'm replacing the fuel filter. Any ideas on what this could be??

Any kind of ticking noise like maybe a broke valve spring?

Can we see the timeslips? MPH the same or different? Does it spin now? If it dropped that bad something is drastically wrong. Trans slipping? Does the car roll easy? We had a ring gear splitting apart once but it only slowed the car down a couple of tenths. It was so bad that you couldn't even push the car but we didn't notice because we always drove it to the lanes.

Start taking stuff apart because something is wrong. If the driveline isn't slowing the car down then it must be down on power. How does the engine run? Does it seem like it's down on power? That's a lot of MPH to lose randomly. When did it start acting up? Did it run 10.5 then next week it ran 11.5?

We are going to need details if you want us to help you. Imagine reading this statement on a forum: "My car use to run 10's! What's wrong????". Help us!

Everything he said.

Sounds like a plug wire to me. Looking at your slips your car is slower everywhere. 60', 330', 660', 1000' and 1320 not to mention MPH.

It's got to be down a cylinder only way to explain that after putting new plugs and wires on.

The car ran fine 1st day the track opened. The next weekend it dropped off a second so I put plugs, drag radials and fresh gas- thought I might have got bad gas. No luck same second off.
My converter is a precision 3600 2 yrs old. Motor seems down on power but runs smooth- no misses.
More info on car: 427, trick flows, victor jr, fast 4150, turbo 400, 12 bolt 373's, nitrous express- not using until it runs the #'s on motor.
Just checked the wires and they seemed to be on correctly.

A 427 only trapping 125mph in the 1/4 on a good run? Am I missing something??

In that case I would definitely look at checking compression, leak down and if that checks out it could be the converter.
