If you dont have the tubing ends, and rod ends already, Its gont be cheaper to just sell your poly set and get the rod end set. Then you just open the box.... have new rod ends, and nice spacers, and it will be powder coated nice.

Ive done it, Made them form scratch with a bar of 4130 and get 4 tube ends. And put rods ons in place of poly, But I had the tube ends amd rod ends already. It not worth the time, even not counting you time. everything adds costing more. Your not making a batch of 20 LCA.

Look for the right parts, order and wait for them. Then your time, cutting them off, (you junk the poly ends you could sell) de durring, grind the power coat back, drilling for a plug weld, fitting, welding, getting them power coating, picking them up there. Having a right and left thread tap to clean them out after paint and welding them. Just getting 2 left hand thread 3/4-16 jam nuts will cost you $20 shipped to you. Good rod end are $20 each. Getting a length of alum bar stock, spending a few hours on a lath just making the spacers.
Unless your time is free, theirs 20 places making these you can have them shipped to you in 2 days and have them on that day. And sell you old ones for $50-$75 less then they retail right now, unless there beat.

Like everyone else has said you are better off selling the ones you have and buying a set of uppers with the rod ends. Give me a call here at the shop and I will see what I can do for you and price a set for you.

all good points ...problem is selling them ..people want to pay .50 cents on the dollar or less ...so that being said 4 rod ends at 11.99 = 48.00n 4 3/4 chro.mo. rod ends at 21.00 = 84.00 plus 6 lh nuts at 1.40 apiece = 5.60 ..so about 140.00 in parts and 0 labor ...something to think about ..guess I will throw them up in the forsale section and see if I get any bites ...

I would think that poly bushings would have more travel than a rod end. I just changed some polys out with Derlin bushings to tighten up my rear and was going to go to a rod ended one if it didn't work. But your trying to free up the rear? Your running a full spool right?

Opps I thought these were for rear LCA, and those are alot easier anyway.
