Battery relocation engine ground location (LT1)
Would it be ok to take off the OEM ground and run my 1/0 cable from there (location is the large stud next to the motor mount bracket) to a spot on the body underneath the coolant catch can? I was going to drill a hole, grind paint away, and install with a large (1/2" bolt and nut)?

really any where you have a good ground will work.
on mine i have the ground on eht engine on the pass head ( on the back side by firewall) and i have a ground by the hatch area for the chassis. ( i also have solid engine mounts so im grounding the chassis that way) but if i was you
i would ground it in the back hatch area. on the engine( any where with a good size bolt/ stud) and the location of the stock ground strap on the frame rail in the front chassis.

A ground is a ground, anywhere anywhere is fine as long as the engine is grounded to the chassis. I have my relocation kit in my trunk and battery is grounded to the floor of the trunk.
