Default No Torque Arm suspensions..

This https://ls1tech.com/forums/drag-racing-tech/150107-no-torque-arm-setup-et-streets.html Got me thinking.

There are only a couple things that I really question though.

Now all the force the rear end sees is put on the 2 front rear controll arm bolts. What is going to happen to those mounting locations with lots of 1.5 60 foots? I don't think those mounting tabs are going to hold will they?

Now, what if you changed the location of the LCA's. Instead of using brackets welded to the UCA (Upper Controll Arm), you used longer LCA's and welded mounting brackets to the actual rear subframe.

I like the idea of a toqrue arm less suspension. Any other ideas or comments?

I talked to Spohn on it today and sent Madman a PM yesterday but have not heard back from him. The guys at Spohn think it would work great. Already sold my hotchkis rear control arms and have a buyer formy TQ arm as well. Should have something for people to see in about a month or so.

i have heard of people breaking those bars. ask prostockjohn. i think he also had problems with them. also i was talking to that guy in the post that did it and he said that he had to modify the origanal system for added streight. if you ask madman, he is going to tell you that his torque arm will out 60ft any other system for late modle F-body and there is no need for anything else. trust me i already tried asking him before.

Madman also said today, if I am not worried about keeping it in a stock style suspension class go with a ladder bar. Second to that the Pete Z bars with out the Tq arm.

if you get the bmr sfc, they have the heavy plate on the rear of the conectors to make insallation easy and to strenghten the stock mouting points for the lca's

I already have the Kenny Brown double diamonds in it.

I'm starting to lean towards a ladder bar if I can put it in with out cutting up the floor.

maby im wrong, but with 400rwhp, i wouldnt think you would have much need for a ladder bar suspension yet. unless you are shooting off the line
