So who's all chasing the 6speed LS1 Fbody stock internal record?

To be honest i am thinking it will only run in the 11.3x's at best. I am just hoping i can get back to running the 11.5x's again. I ran several months ago and was only able to get high 11.7x's out of it with a da above 3000 on my weather station. The car with me in it was about 3500 lbs at that time. I expect to be around 3350 when i pull some of the other stuff out of it for the colder months.
I am still on this same gto m12 at the moment, i have been beating on it for a little over 2 years now. It has easily 150 passes on it, not to mention street pulls. Its really showing its wear and tear now. It might be a little bit quicker to shift letting off the throttle a little with my car because of the trans not wanting to go into 3rd or 4th easy. It really seems like it sometimes.

Because you guys took it that way, you deliberately did what I kindly asked not to do, and then the petty name calling
all of which says alot about who you are
If you actually knew me, you'd realize I'm actually one of the nicest people you'd know.
Let's not turn this into a forum battle. I didn't create this thread for chilidish nonsense like that. I have better things to do with my time..
Such as- talking about gutted 6 speed fbodies going for the S.I. record![Grin](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_grin.gif)
Gutted sounds harsh.. How about Lightened? that's better![Happy](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_stretch.gif)
So far it looks like 4 people are possibly going for the record

Chasing the stock internals/bolt ons only 6 speed record (and automatics for that matter) was fairly hotly contested years ago but then it seemed to 'stall' and lose it's momentum for a while.
I remember when two of the people that were in the top 5 or 6 (of the manuals only that is) for a while, my friends Durien and Ali, ran their 11.7s back in like 2005 or 2006, lots of fun times chasing the numbers at the track back then.
I was just happy to fall right outside of the 'overall top 50' with my 11.8s back then LOL.

Hope you can get your car together soon, i like to see what other people can do with their's. I am still waiting for nssane to make some runs in his. I think he will easily run right around the record if not better.
I will hopefully be able to do the test with each transmission. The mn6 i have has a slightly bent input shaft. Its not very bad at all, hard to tell and should not mess anything up but it still might. I am pretty sure it was bent for a long time while running in my car but i have no way to tell. The stock pilot was fine when i pulled it so might not be anything to worry about.

I remember chasing that record back in 2001/2002 in my 01 SS but then got another roller in 2004 and put a 98 shortblock with 02 241's and most siad its not SI anymore but I got my 2000 SS running 11.25 with stock parts so far and its still running the same tune from back then.

Getting the MWC bolt in drag bar here very very soon. Very eager to see if it makes any difference, my shocks have been doing most of the work of keeping this rearend from getting out of whack on the launch but its not quite enough. The stock sway bar has to be bending alot on the launch but don't really have any close up video of it.

I've been very interested in chasing you guys down in this record, it'll just be very slowly due to being in college and all. Going to see how close I can get to you guys i guess would be the better way to put it. I'm interested in some info on what you guys are doing because it'd be fun to hurt some feelings back home with a bolt on car even if I don't hold the record!

The thing I'm most curious about is how the guys with 4.10 and 26 tall tires are cutting 1.5 60's. Best i have done so far is a 1.70 launching at 5500. Anything over 5500 and it wants to blow the tires off and I only have 10 lbs of air in them.

yeah im going to see if i can figure out the rear end situation, still on a ten bolt and very hesitant about a drag radial still. I blew one up shifting to 2nd last season, the worm gears ate themselves up pretty good.

I believe its possible to cut 1.5's. A buddy of mine dipped into the 1.5's on drag radials and 4.10s. A good suspension setup and a sticky track are 2 big factors, the other big factor is seat time. I'll be attempting 1.5's with a 4.10 and a 26" slick myself

What's the difference in m6 record and auto record? There isn't one.
You guys with m6's are always talking about it's harder to drag a m6 than an auto..that's true, but it's your choice not to own an automatic. Quit whining about it and man up like Rodney did cam-only and go for the overall SI record. Are you going to brag about being the fastest SI m6? I don't see anyone bragging about being the fastest SI auto![Winky](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_wink.gif)
Sorry if I offended you with this post, but it my opinion. Hell I could be the fastest SI & Cam-only with the most weight and least amount of HP

I swapped my auto out for an m6, still having more fun than i ever did with a stalled auto. That's all it is about for me, and the challenge. Automatics make it too easy. To each his own I guess

I think its great for anyone with bolt ons and a 6 speed ls1 f-body trying to beat 11.42. From my experience i think i can build a car that would run very low 11's or even run in the 10's with a 6 speed. Maybe i might do that in the future but not with this car. My car is sitting around 3600 lbs raceweight right now and will be down to hopefully 3350 after the shootout. As fast as i got it to go last weekend was 11.88 at 114 at this weight and on 93 in 2000 + da.
One might say i am really far from 11.42 but lets add it up, 250lbs at least .15, better fuel at least .1, 2000 to 0 da around .2, optimize tune a little who knows. 11.88 - .45 = 11.43. Considering i ran 11.47 and two 11.48's at 3200 to 3250 lbs at 1500 + da. What you guys think lol. I am excited!!!
