Default Moroso LS1 oil pan, With Kmember and filter setup.

Whos running this oil pan. PN 21150

What Kmember do you have and how dose it fit? I heard some are really close.

It comes with -10 fitting for a remote filter setup. How do you have that run? Pics.
milodon has a LS1 fiter kit #21575 Hows this kit? Not sure if the lines are to long? do I want to 90" fitting to get on the pan, or would 45* be better to run the lines closer?
http://www.jegs.com/i/Milodon/697/21...oductId=764268

Thinking about going to the setup, looks better then the autokraft, and other pan setups. I can use it on a real motor and not my stock junk. And might get a few HP with this now too. Go with the filter kit, or peiece the setup together.
Looking for any info and pics on whats out there

I run this pan

I have a PA Racing K member.

I use a Moroso Remote Oil Filter mount, I ran 10 Steel Braided Lines from the pan to the mount, and I use a 90 degree fitting at the pan.

I'll snap some pics and post back

I ran a Canton oil pan instead. I don't like that remote oil filter crap. Just more stuff to leak.

Canton has a scratch and dent section and I bought the last aluminum one but the there are 3 steel ones. There is one that is aluminum but it uses the stock pickup. To me that doesn't accomplish much.

The 13-274A is the one I used.

thanks,

13-270A would be there LS1 4th gen pan. Its alum, I htink they still make it?
Ya, need one with the pickup in the rear, not sure how good it is but stock pickup and baffle was not what I was looking to "upgrade" to.

Yeah that's the 4th gen pan but it uses the stock pick up. The 13-274A uses their pick up and just because it says its for the older cars means nothing. If you have any kind of tubular k member, it will fit.

True,
you have a 4th gen or know that for sure it fits?

If anything I would like a pan to have more room in the front under the windage tray for oil room. The stock style is close, I wish I could change pans easier to test this on my car. The canton swap pan stil useis the stock windage tray, that might be better then the moroso? Dont know for sure? The rail looks thing on ther stuff, the morso one is 3/8
But know some class engine stuff I help on there a bunch of power in oil pans if you look for it. Most if the time its keeping the oil as far away as possible, and high vacuum. The engine master stuff is 12inch max off the rail and you use it.

Pic of the canton swap pan

I've got the Moroso pan and Milodon set-up. I have a UMI K and the issue in my opinion is the steering rack which ends up about 1/4" from the pan. Pan clears the K by an good 1" all the way around. Oil relocate not finished yet.

Do you have fitting for the housing yet? I can't find what it takes?

Both inlet and outlet ports use -12AN short thread fittings.
I take it, They mean use male fittings to -12. Its not -12 female drilled? The fitting holes look short, like it might be the Oring fittings or somthing? I would think there NPT tapped but not sure? I want to make sure I can use this with -10 hose.

ok called them. it uses ORB (12) the Oring short thread fitting. OR12 or ORB12 and you need a -port plug 12- for the extra hole. OR12P

http://www.jerrybickel.com/plumbing-...rs-980011.html

Earls makes them to but in blue
EAR985011 #10 to 1 1/16-12 Port Contoured adapter $19.99 x2
EAR981412 #12 Port Plug ("O" Ring Seal) $7.99

this adds up fast $175 maybe $200 just in the filter mount.

Moroso makes a pan with the oil filter built in also. The pan is steel that I have, but it has nice baffles.
