Default Tubes with slicks?

Anyone running tubes in their slicks? I don't see taking my down beyond 14-15psi, and don't think I need them but thought I'd ask to see if anyone was running them.

idont think they are necessary. they have pinched on me and caused a flat. they never added support even when going down low psi.

I run 29.5 x 10.5 ET Drags with no tubes. I have no problems racing at 12.5 psi in the tires.

If you do a search on the subject you'll get alot of response, this question gets ask every so often.

Sean, I take it your car is seeing more street time nowadays.

Lee, I did a search but guess I didn't use the right buzz word as it didn't pull up very much on the subject.

Thanks for all the responses. I was hoping to not use them as everybody likes less unsprung weight.

And by the way, Coach wins at 10.5psi!!!! I've been down to 11psi on ET Streets and it get's a little hairy on the big end.

Correction. I just check my wheels. I have 9 screws per side of each wheel. 18 total per wheel.

LOL! I figured it was time to grow up. Had a family, needed to finish college, buy a house, all that crap. Actually, my wife talked me into getting the Z28 and then modding it. I am having the time of my life!
