Default Spark Plug Gap???

What should I gap my plugs at?
11.7:1 compression.
Around 25 degrees timing
110 leaded race gas (don't trust pump gas)
N/A
TR6 plugs
Track only car.

.030" or so seems like a good starting point. Tighter ain't bad, I've run .022" in the N/A LT1 and it runs fine.

Anyone else, can someone explain the difference in a narrower gap than a wider gap.

What ignition system and coil are you using? This makes a difference on the recommended gap settings.

Ok, that is a longer duration ignition system so I would gap them at .035.

Sorry, I forgot to answer the difference. A shorter duration, but more intensive ignition system like a MSD 7AL2, would be better served with a wider gap like .045.
