Default Anyone run 2 breathers only, no PCV

Anyone run a breather on each side, and do away with the PCV system?

x2, without a rag or something over it in can get messy. I did it for about 2yrs, but now I'm going to an ls6 valley cover and a catch can.

I have a parts store "spectra" brand breather on the passenger side front (with a short piece of hose) and another one on the driver side rear valve cover where the PCV valve was.
Uncovered since the day I put them on, and I haven't seen any oil. And it's easy to see with a arctic white engine bay that's surgical room clean.

Do yourself a favor and run -10 or -12 hoses off your valve covers into a catch can that is away from your engine. I've seen too many fires from oil getting on the headers caused by breathers on the valve covers.

I've been doing it for 4 years with swet ban on the breathers. I have a third -10 hose coming from the valley cover to a catch can on the fire wall. And it has a wrist band on it also.

I have a vac pump going on this time around. I picked it up from Mark Carlyle at the LS Fest.

I'll probably do that when I get some aftermarket valve covers.

Good point about the fires.
