So Studderin and I decided to check out another local track. Its a NHRA sanctioned
track thats less than a 1/10 mile. I think its 530'. What a **** hole! Worse traction
than unprepped street! I spun the whole track... 1st 2nd and third..
The drag strip is on an oval track so its banked on the drag strip.
I think Johnny has some pics and maybe a video of me driving a New Era customers
C6.
Lmao this made me literally lol

it was something else

I guess its like WWF when your a kid, They have a ring, and a event is held and someone wins. Some people like it and have fun, but I don't think they have anything to compare it to.

Its an all-in-one circle track, drag strip, apple farm? The drag strip is one of the straightaways, but its not strait and turns to the left a bit, and is banked. Staging lanes are the turn (I believe it would be turn 4). You pull up right behind the 2 cars staged at the line, then back up were the outside wall is removed down to a ditch thats the water box. this really has nothing to do with 2strokes car or LS1s. lol but anyway its hard to explain, I took some pics you can get the feel from.

Pits, some LS1 junk, on the back strait of the track.

this was the track equipment. Didn't see anything else, don't even have a broom to sweep the track any time for the night (they don't). I walked it when we got there, bald spots, peeling rubber, dirt and rocks all over. Before the final rounds they stopped for "track prep" a worker took a 1gal pump sprayer, no idea what the traction compound was. But waving the **** all over 4 feet off the ground it was just blowing away, it was unreal. A few redneck trucks with off road tires dried mud on the tires all over the body, wiper marks in the mud, making passes. Whatever, the locals all have big tire tubbed bracket car 20-30 year old setups you painted with a roller. It's a race track and its fun. But I dont get the "NHRA" all over the place, the place is a dump.

No plates, not going to drive anyone to the hospital. Didn't look like its been moved in a while. Not sure what they would do with it for helping anyone in a crash. I bet it doesn't even run?

made 2 passes. It wasn't spinning in 1st getting the car moving it was, fish tailing skating the whole time. Vids sucks I have a point and shoot that talks vid. I must have been covering the microphone the sound is messed up. I stopped recording soon, just wanted to get the launch. Didn't think the track was that bad, but skated all over the whole way. Went a 1.55 I think, dosn't matter didn't transfer any weight.
http://s2.photobucket.com/user/studd...2a6a0.mp4.html

2nd pass loosed the front shocks up, took out a pound out the the tires. Same thing but worse, *** end crossed the center line fishtailing at the end. I was kinda worried the track in narrow. Enough of that ****. Didn't did a DQ, bet then dont even have center light? slip said a 1.46 I think think so. ET were a 6.10 and a 5.80 MPH were 88 and a 91 I think? Don't know what a 1/10 mile converts too? haha

customers LS2 C6, went to this place too, after NYI was only racing 1974 and older cars. Auto, fast102, street sweeper cam, headers, NA stock heads, think it made 451whp. But ran really well, watched him beat some back half car with the big scoop. He wanted to see his car form the outside. I wasn't gona drive a nice car on this **** whole. Todd did, tracks really nice

I'm still not 100% what caused the sparks shooting out of the bell
Housing? The clutch was still intact. Was alot of hot spots etc on the
Flywheel and pressure plate, but nothing looked out of the ordinary?
The car wouldn't stay in 2nd gear. You could shift it in second while
Stopped but as soon as you released the clutch it would pop out.

Mines at RPM right now. But it's going to be expensive.
Not sure if I'm going to fix it or buy one?
Maybe go faceplated? I gotta get it together quick so I can
Make Indy!

Of course you should go faceplated! Maybe you can borrow one for Indy? Is RPM repairing yours or upgrading it?

My tranny was a RPM stage 4.
Going to repair, unless I go with a different tranny.
I only have one friend locally with a RPM faceplated tranny that's
Not in his car right now.

Already built and it broke? How long ago was it built? Also what gave? I looked at the pictures of sparks coming out of your bellhousing.

I would faceplate it or go Auto, no need to keep sticking syncro transmissions in their.

Second gear is fucked, along with a ton of other parts.
It's had a hard life. Lots of street racing and some hard
Launches on N2O.
