Hi guys,

I am considering opening a drag strip. I am looking for advice and information...

I have a possible investor, and looking to make a business proposal but i want to make sure I have everything figured out.

My possible investor owns land with an old airport runway on it also

I am looking for information on insurance (<---- this is what makes me nervous, being sued is no fun), operating costs, ect....

looking at Portatree track system.

Looking to just do a "Run what you brung" or "test and tune" on the weekends (weather permitting)... There isnt a strip withing 3 hours of my location so there is no place to legally race so allot of street racing and hotrodding happens around town. I think it would give the kids something to do besides drink and could be good family fun for the community.

Anyone with any knowledge or advice i would really appreciate your input.

Might want to give Rod Wolter a call, he is now retired from nhra. He managed the motorplex in scribner, ne., setup and got gateway international raceway going and came out of retirement to get eddyville raceway park up and running.
