Exhaust set up?? Hey guys im new here im getting ready to dive into my first ls powered car build its a 82 s10. The ls1 ive built up is making just a hair shy of 500hp im running 1.75 mains to 3in collector long tubes. My main question is whats the highest flowing muffler for the money and should i x pipe it or not. keep in mind this is going to be at the track over 50% of the time so loud is perfectly fine thanks guys!
Well the SLP LM 1 that I run is retarded loud, and is about as free flowing as you can get lol. From what I understand the x-pipe will free up a few more hp on the high end

ive heard the same slp are just basically a expansion chamber ive been really looking at flowmaster outlaw series mufflers and is there a benefit to buying say a magnaflow x pipe or can i get the same result from slicing and welding 2 90s together? ive heard magnaflows have some kind of baffling in there x pipes
Vibrants on the collector. On a budget I cut a set of 12" Dynomax bullets in half, took the material out, then shortened them. I ended up silicon bronzing them all the way around the collector this way I never had to worry about them falling off or leaking.
