Default 11 second car

What amount of rear wheel horsepower with an m6 and 3.90 gear would put a stock weight 2001 camaro ss in the mid 11's?

M6? I'd imagine 450rwhp give or take. Traction/suspension would be a big factor

With what you have now would definitely do it! I just recently got my ride, but the previous owner ran an 11.7 with the current 555R's on stock rims, no suspension work, full weight, etc...

400rwhp will easily do it if you are a good driver and have some excellent tires. 450rwhp would get you into the 10's.

My car put down 390 at the rear wheels on my previous engine with stock 241's. I am getting ready to put the motor back in with the PRC stage 2.5 5.3 l heads and my compression will be at about 10.75 from the stock compression ratio. I'm hoping with a good tune I can be close to 450rwhp.

430rwhp here and run 11.6's in a 3900 lb camaro, but with a 4.30 gear. That 3.90 gear might hurt you some.

432 rwhp here and ran 11.25 @ 120 with 3.70 gears . I do have a little weight reduction. but full weight with 394 rwhp I ran 11.8 and on stock manifolds. with your cam and head set up you should be mid to low 11's full weight and 10's with some weight reduction. good luck

Depending on weight it can be done with bolt ons. Notch (forgot his whole username) went 11.9 at 116 on stock manifolds and stock tune. With 3.73s and some minor weight reduction. If its for the combo in your sig id look into more gear than 3.90s. Those big cams like alot of gear. 4.10+

Thanks for the replies everyone. I previously owned a 75 camaro with a 454 big block. It was a pump gas engine and I ran low 13's to mid 12's if the weather was right. These Ls engines make some serious power. I never got my 01 to the track yet but I'm anxious to. My concern is the 10 bolt when the cars hooked up! LOL

Yea that 10 bolt will break if you launch the car. Just leave like your leaving a stop light then once your ay about 3000 rpm punch it. But only if you have drag radicals or slicks.
