Default Lite Weight Door Panels

Looking for some lite weight door panels for my '99 trans am.
What's everyone using these days.

I made a set out of sheet metal. Similar to the wolfe ones painted black and about 1/20th of the cost.

Carbon fiber, not sure who is currently making them but they are sweet.

Ive been looking to do the same out of aluminum... just a matter of finding the materials i guess. Ive been pretty lazy since winter hit, lol.

That's the ones I was looking for.
Can't remember who makes them, either.
Wolfe or did someone custom make them.

I've got my mounted in the dash. Took out the headlite switch and mounted them there. Don't have headlites anymore just the fog lites.
But anywhere in the dash.

i just cut mine into the panel underneath the steering wheel.

the carbon ones are awesome, but didnt wanna spend the 400 for a 1 lb weight difference. heres mine, i spent 45$ on aluminum sheet .032" x 4' x 8' from a metal shop.

The user ssperformance was selling them at one time two, his were about $250 in carbon fibre I think!

If he has a bead roller at his shop have him put a design into the panel or just a line or two. It will take a lot of the noise away that's associated with sheet metal. A lightweight carpet looks good covering the panels plus some classes require door panels and won't count a bare sheet metal panel.

The CF ones are about 15-16 lighter then the stock panels (set)

those CF ones look good...but doing it in aluminum sheet does save a lot of $.

Might have to do this one down the road.
