Is that a Derale deep pan? Too bad you didn't get a before and after temp reading, curious how well that cooler pan works. I'll probably get one on this car before hitting the track in March.

Also, whats your take on that 3" merge on the Y? You think it's much of a restriction? I've always done the dual 3" in/single 4" out flowmaster merge on the end of the y-pipe setups I've had in the past. I'm gonna drop off the back half of this exhaust and run a bullet like you did and turn it down at the axle, but I'm debating going with 4" for room to grow on.

That is a Derale deep pan. While I don't have a temp reading to compare on this car, I can tell you on my BBC car with a TH400 I dropped about 30 degrees just swapping that pan on.

As far as this merge, it's advertised as a 3" Y pipe on TSP's website, so I assumed it was 3" in and out. It is however 2.5" out, which I am not a fan of at all, especially because I plan to run a 4" mufflex exhaust system. I don't know how I'm going to deal with that yet, but I will worry about it down the road. I wouldn't purchase it again though, especially with all the work I had to do to get it to fit.

Man thats a bummer, crappy that TSP advertises that incorrectly...I wonder if that's to mate up to the factory rear section on these cars? Either way, its false-advertising.

I'll probably go with the flowmaster merge, I think it's probably worth it for the money.

That Derale pan sounds like a nice piece, I'll probably go that route too.

I've thought about calling them and saying something about it, but I'm sure their reply would be "why did you install it if it's not what you wanted?" lol..oh well. As for the pan, it's a very nice piece. Has a magnetic drain plug in the bottom and temp sender port in the side.

No real updates. However I did back it out today and look at it outside for the first time with the new shoes. All done minus a tune at the moment. Just restored my headlights. Sunoco hood, SLP grille and SS spoiler and it will be complete.

The car is pretty much done. I did the trans, converter, trans cooler and lines, longtubes, stainless exhaust, gear, cut out some weight, put some new hoops on, restored the headlights, and it's ready to rock. Only thing I'm waiting on is a nitrous kit and a tune.
