Default SS 4000 track times

I went to Stanton yesterday and ran my car with E/T streets . Last time i ran on Nitto dr's.
Last time it was 39 degrees and a terrible head wind at least 15 mph.
1.72
7.9@87
12.508@107

This time it was 57 degrees and a little less wind
1.67
7.8@87
12.43@108

This is not what i was hoping for,i wanted 12 teens but that time is wayyyy far away right now.

Mods:
Hooker lt's
TR custom y-pipe
Borla -wide open(with Dynomax bullet)
Lid
K&N
GMAS (also ran w/ stock maf without screen in it)
MSD wires
NGK TR6's
SS4000 Yank
Trans has been beefed up a bit.(total rebuild)
BMR sfc,stb,lca brackets
Eibach Prokit (i know , not helping!!!)
!frt swaybar!
Predator
160 stat
Full weight, nothing but frt bar removed(3636,last time weight with frt bar and me too)
Car felt weird, would fall flat above 5500 in second gear, then pull strong again with the 2/3 shift. Actually does the same thing for the 3/4 shift too! (bent pushrods?????)
Unless listed everything else is stock.
How do i get this little pig flying??? Is tuning needed that bad???

On dr's i could not get traction at all.
But with the E/T streets i got great traction and found that i needed to play with launch rpm .
My best 60 came from a good burn out,15 psi in the 26/11.5/16 E/T's and foot braking it to 2800-3000 depending on how close my tach is.
No wheel spin, my buddy was there watching and taping my runs for me.
Thanks Steve!!

On a 100 shot,(well actually more like 80 shot,low pressure),wet kit.
i ran 11.6? @ 117 with a spinning 1.64- 7.3@92(same weird flat spot above 5500 in second gear until after the 2/3 shift then picked back up again)
I just could not resist trying this new vertor with the bottle.
I was worried about needed a 6 pt bar on stock internals n/a and found out that, that problem is a long way away yet.

get some good tires and find the sweet spot for your stall, with 100 shot I think its very possible for an 11 or very low 11's.

I wonder about bent pushrods because i have sprayed this car for over 40,000 miles and the push rods are stock,i have hit the rev limiter more than a few times ,(auto crossing and drag racing)
I tried to set shift points up to 6200 for n/a and found the car would stumble and snort when above 5900 until the 2/3 shift.
I have a slight uneven idle that isn't real bad but i know it is not as smooth as it was ,even with NGK TR6's.
I might put in good push rods and try it again later on in the month,(just not in the budget right now ) I thought E/T's were good tires.LOL.

Unfortunately i do not have any access to Auto tap. How long should the stock valve springs last in a SI motor with a 150 shot (rwhp) set up.
I have run spray for over 2 years and wonder about that.
I have money set aside for running my car on the dyno with a Wide band set up to see what is happening when this thing stops pulling hard and flattens out. Approx 5500 on up.

Thinking about buying LS1 Edit, I just do not know how to program with it.
Any ideas ??? Help me NEED a roll bar with SI set up.

I don't think the valvesprings much care if you're spraying. They care more about RPMs.

Hey Al. How is the Hot rod coming?
So who gets the H/C package? I might take you up on that offer sir.
I am going to Radio Shack and getting the cable and power cord i need to email a tune from Diablo. Then i will see what happens ,Then it's off to the dyno for some wideband pulls.
Shoot me a p.m. about your hotrod if you want, sure would like to hear some Good news,LOL. See you at the track .

Colonel, when you were SI what rpm did you pull with the factory valve springs. My car just does not like high rpm,and i found that out since headers and convertor.

I can not autotap ,but i did run with the Predator set for real time data.
I found the fuel trims are.
LT-at cruise speeds of approx 55mph-----(-12.50%)
and (the odd part to me) the trims(ST & LT) all go to 0.00% anything over 25% TPS. No matter if it is to the floor or just tip in.
Is that normal???
The O2 readings at WOT are high 800's to mid 900's , BUT almost all the time are reading 780 or higher .( Not even at WOT)
I have replaced the O2's in the last 3 months with OEM sensors.
Any of this mean anything ?
