Smokin, I'd rather go on a Wednesday, no bracket racing involved, just time trials!

RED01Chevy, If you get there early enough on Wed you can basically hot lap the car all you want for the first couple of hours. That is assuming you get there at 4:30-5:00. I haven't had an issue with traction on Wed, of course I don't have anything really high powered either! LOL I'm not a big bracket racer either, just like to go to the track and run time trials. Of course by 7:00-7:30, you can count on the lanes being full of cars(a lot of stuff that doesn't belong there) and the wait takes forever.
Friday night has the same problems, but way more cars, in my experience there. Later, Stew

I was there same wed. as stew and everyone else and I pulled a 1.47 in a 6 speed. Best ever on one of their "high preped" days was a 1.45. According to pat they prep the lanes the same every time. Its the cars...that may not belong there..or don't know how to go AROUND the water that are messing up the lanes. Wed. I saw them halt the running to reprep the track twice. There is a "trick" to running on those nights though..find a big tired car and line up behind em. I also extend my burnout "rollout" to make sure I'm still smoking the tires past the point where the ricers are pulling the water into the burnout box.
