Default Hows my setup going to work

Just want to get some thoughts on my setup this year. Car is a dd it maybe sees the track 8 times a year I just want to show my mustang buddys what a ls can do. With that being said I'm goin to run a 28" radial 4.11 gears on a s60 spraying a 125 shot out of the hole. leaving the Line around 4 grand any ideas on what it would run I'd like to see a 11.99 or better will I pull the wheel a little? Will it blow the tires loose? Tracks are closed right now so I've been talking alot of **** to my buddy's I just would like to get y'all opinion

If it doesn't run 11.99 you should drive it into a wall. Need a lot more info though. Auto or 6 speed??? Whats done to your engine? What are you doing for fuel system? What does your rear suspension consist of? What kind of tires?? Hard to guess how your car will leave without knowing anything about your suspension track prep etc.

Drag radials with the 6 speed are going to hurt your time. I'd buy another set of wheels to put some slicks on.

Yep, need some sidewall flex to hook that 6 speed. Drop what weight you can and still be liveable. Its alot easier to get a lighter car moving and keep it moving.

M6 car, like mine. The ET Street bias tires are excellent. And cheaper then the radial. Plenty of sidewall flex to get the power hooked up. Just a heads up, I bogged badly at 15 psi and 5500 rpm.

The bias has a softer sidewall that won't shock the tires like a radial. That's why they are better on an M6 car.

Drag radial is gonna be more likely to break parts. Shocks the **** out of the drive line

What clutch is in the car?

I'm running the Toyo DR's on mine with a M6. My advice...use them for street use. They hook well on the street. On the track you're just wasting time with that tire. You're 60' will suck. No matter what rpm you launch you will either bog badly, blow the tire off of it or break something. I'm still spinning mine even when I shift into 4th gear at a well prepped track.

To run DR's with an M6 requires major suspension. The most economical way is go with a slick. Hoosier QTP's work well with the M6. Comparable priced to the Toyo too.

When I get to the track I'll have a better idea of what tire I need have no idea what I will trap any idea what a Bolton and 125 shot m6 would trap at? I run 108 before I did tune and intake I would think I would pick up 10 mph with spray

I am a bolt on with a 100 shot but mine was trapping 108 stock. I'm not shooting mine off the line either and still blow the tires off of it. My window switch is set at 4k wot.

We're offering the best advise we can give you because we've all been there. Hell, I have almost the same setup you have and the same tires.

I hit my 125 shot this past weekend for the first time. Almost a disaster, almost in the wall when the shot hit on the first pass. 2nd pass was better but still not great. 60' was the same as when I was stock.

If I had your s60 I would be slicks and 6k off the line! Then you'll see 10's!!!

Listen to these guys and save yourself the aggrevation at the track. Get some slicks. Leave the drag radials to us auto guys.
