LS2-240z

I've got another thread working about battery shutoff switches. I'm curious about this product. Although it is called an alternator shutoff switch, the instructions talk about connecting one of the pins to the coil. I'm wondering if I can somehow use this to disable the alternator, since we dont have a traditional single-coil ignition system. If you go to the attached link, you can find another link that has installation instructions. I need a wiring guru to yoda me thru this.
