I just got done doing mine on a 4 channel car. No you can not just use t fittings. The fittings on the end of the braided lines are not standard brake threads. Here is what I did: starting with the rear brakes first I bought a piece of 1/4 brake line with the fittings on them. I had to cut one end off and take that fitting off. Cut the rear line master cylinder fitting off the original line and put it on the new line and bubble flare it. Run that line to the proportion valve using all standard fittings. Then from the out side of the proportion valve to a standard 3/16 Tee. The front of the master cylinder is a 3/16 line and I used a new 3/16 inverted flare line and again cut one end off and removed that nut. I then cut the original nut off the front line and put it on the new line and bubble flared it and then ran the other end to a standard 3/16 tee. Now came the fun part, all the fittings need to be cut off braided lines and slide new standard 3/16" buts on there then put new inverted flares on the end. Hook everything up and your done. The ss lines on the ends of the braided lines are very difficult to flare with a standard flaring tool. It is important to file them after cut and get everything square and a little heat from a propane torch helped as well. I will try to post pics.

Maybe this will help. By the way total I spent was $60. $35 for the proportion valve at a local speed shop, $25 for new lines and fittings, Free rental at Advance for the flare tool, Had brake fluid at home. Would be same cost if you deleted the braided lines but I found that this would be much easier unless you had the $200 dollar ss line flaring tool.
