Default New best, officially in the 12's!

Went to the Street Nite at Mason Dixon Dragway Saturday afternoon and got two runs in. Here are the results:

1st run (DA = 2149 ft):
R/T - 0.687
60' - 1.771
330' - 5.293
1/8ET - 8.233
1/8MPH - 81.72
1000' - 10.802
1/4ET - 12.980
1/4MPH - 103.50

2nd run (DA = 2119 ft, tried raising the rev limiter and shift points, lost 0.1 and 1.4mph):
R/T - 0.649
60' - 1.798
330' - 5.318
1/8ET - 8.272
1/8MPH - 81.56
1000' - 10.873
1/4ET - 13.080
1/4MPH - 102.10

The best run corrected turns out to be a 12.67 @ 106.01. I'm officially in the 12's anyway! I'll have videos of both of my runs posted in the next couple of days.

Next goal is 12.2 - 12.4 this fall with some LT's, ET Streets, maybe a little more weight reduction, tuning, better track and better air. All depends on the finances though... I might be running another high 12 this fall! hehehe

Thanks everybody, it was a fun time! Here are some videos, just keep checking on the open directory until all 16 are uploaded (it will take a little while).

68maro, I replied about the headers on the EFA board.

Congratulations!

Seems like our cars are pretty close.

I recently ran comparable times with similar modifications.

First 12sec pass for the T/A:

1/8 8.244
MPH 84.10
1000' 10.778
1/4 12.917
MPH 105.45

Second pass was almost identical

1998 T/A-TSP lid,Cut-out,Free-mods,BFG Drag Radials,TCI SSF3500

3455 raceweight

What's your raceweight?

Well, that's a good question actually. hehehe. The only scale I have weighed my car on was at MIR a couple months ago with a full interior and stock wheels, and their scale isn't known for being very accurate. Race weight that day was ~3600lbs. I didn't weigh my car on Saturday, but I'm guessing it was around 100lbs lighter so maybe around 3500lbs?

Also, I have to check my DA calculations again... I may have been a bonehead and used the numbers from Sunday instead of Saturday. I'm still betting it was around +2100 either way.

Thanks for the correction, I fixed the filename. I totally missed the fact that there were 2 runs back to back there, or I would have split them into 2 files. Sorry about that. Let me know if you spot any others.

I ran my 12 at 729 elevation around 60*. I don't know the humidity or pressure. I didn't know how to figure DA til I saw it on here the other day.

What kind of tires are you running?
Seems like your 60'ing better than me. I do about a 4 sec. burnout w/no water and then immediately stage.

315/35R17 Nitto drag radials with about a 4-5 second burnout in 2nd gear (A4).
