Default Main hoop 10pt cage angle

What kind of angle is everyone running? Or are you just leveling them up? Also what kind of clearance are you leaving between the hoop and the headliner? Pics are most helpful.

For the height I believe the nhra specs are bottom of the bar at least three inches above your helmet or within an inch of the roof, as far as the angle I think it is more preference but I think you would want it level if possible

I've never heard of the 3" above your head spec. I know that it cannot be more than 6" behind the helmet though.

I just looked back in the rule book and the specs I posted were for a roll bar not cage but I would think they would be the same

Most place the angle in a position that is pleasing to the eye. Personal preference for me is anything but straight up-and-down.

I actually don't mind the straight up and down. The problem lies in that I have the plates in the corner past the rear seats. I'm 6'1", so that throws the seat pretty close to there. I'll throw an angle on it to move it back.

I just didn't want to do it and find out that the main hoop needs to be redone, which in turn would be the entire cage.

I'm 6'1" too, and my plates are in the same location. My seat is about 3" from the hoop cross bar. Gives me plenty of leg room

I ended up doing a 5 degree lean back.
