I would mount it in the rear frame rail of your car in place of the OE spare tire to begin with. You can try this kit unless you wanna make your own relocation bracket.

Battery must be in a sealed approved box (or trunk with proper metal divider), box/battery tray must be bolted to frame with 3/8" bolts/or J-bolts welded closed), cut-off switch properly labeled with the proper colors, if a button it must be push off, switch must kill ALL power to the car and include alternator power to battery.

Mine are in the tee top well, sealed batteries. No boxes. The factory flap that seals that area off passed NHRA tech inspections everywhere for five years. Do your self a favor, and don't just ground the battery back there. Run a ground all the way to the engine. Mine grounds under a starter bolt. I have had F body cars with batteries in the rear (grounded at the rear) come in for tuning that I had to pull the PCM and flash it on the bench. You can rationalize it all you, but I have seen it more than once. Take it for what you want.

I buy 1 gauge welding cable, then crimp & solder the lugs on the ends. Never a problem.
