Unhappy Powershifting?

Hello all. I have been lurking on the boards for some time. I have an 02 SS M6 Camaro. I have taken it to the track a couple times and done (OK).

So my question is this, I have seen several people post about shifting better and saying to power shift. What is powershifting? And how much better can I get my ET's at the track by doing this? Just so you all know im cutting a consistant

13.3-4
2.3 60'
MPH 106-107

thanks in advance for any help

Powershifting is when you have your gas pedal down and you press the clutch and shift at the exact same time. its not really good for your car but it makes you save some time.

how much time? I will be going to DR's here in a couple days and that should help my 60' get down to a 2.0 or so since im losing there due to traction.

Power shifting is never lifting on the gas pedal as you up shift. Worth .1-.2 sec and 1-2 mph.
