Default Filled Blocks

Anyone running a filled LS Block on the street? This one is filled to the water ports on the front, about 2" of the jacket in the block is still exposed.

Seeing if this will work in a street driver.

You can keep coolant temp in line with a good cooling system. The thing you need to be concerned with is the oil temp.

I would think a good oil cooler would take care of that.

I mean it as a street driver too..not as a daily, just every now and then driving it around town.

A good radiator, and a good oil cooler will take care of you.

Why? Worried about the main caps walking?

That's was a serious question. Lol
I know it's a costly measure, but I would pin the mains if you want to sturdy the bottom end up and more than they already are.
That's pretty much the end-all to any cap walk with a stock cap and block. And unless you're running a ton of rpm, or something more than what a typical forged H beam and forged 4340 crank will handle, I think you're giving up streetability and over complicating things in the engine bay with a filled block.
$400 for pinned mains
$75 to fill a block. How much for a bigger radiator, oil cooler, fan, and lines?
Then offset the extra 30lbs with lite weight parts, and you're far beyond the $400 to pin the mains and arguably still don't have a block that's as strong.
