Default Gutted stock steering wheel?

Has anyone simply gutted the stock steering wheel (Trans Am) and put it back on to appear factory? As in no airbag, radio controls. Was thinking it about it before I bought a Grant wheel. Or do the Grant wheels simply work and feel alot better?

I am doing something similar...

My car wont have wipers, cruise, or hi beams..

So I pulled all those off and am putting in a custom turn signal stick.

Also, I pulled the airbag and am going to make a custom fiberglass airbag delete.

I don't think there is any clean way to delete the radio controls, so those are just sitting there, not hooked up.

I think I might try it. Still not sure if I want the stock gutted wheel, or the challenger Grant wheel.

Depends how you like it. Just gut the stock one and see how it goes.

The stock one is soft and flexible as well, feels flimsy IMO.
