Default Weight reduction... what else?

I've all ready removed HVAC, pass air bag, power antenna, carpet and firewall insulation, back seat and belts, air bag module, all bracketry for the backseat and antenna, windshield washer bottle, cruse control, abs, back speakers, AIR, no front sway bar. As far as wallet weight reduction I've ordered a MWC k member and lower control arms ( not here yet), front bumper support ( I drive it on the street occasionally), aftermarket panhard bar, panhard bar relocation kit, lcas. I haven't holesawed anything yet but I plan on doing the inside of the doors and removing the door bars when I put in my 6 point. Where else can I easily pull some weight that I've missed? What exactly is safe to holesaw? Its a Trans am.

^^^X2

and is the 100#'s with both front and rear glass?

@OP: what is your weight now? and how far you trying to go? because you can always get the smaller lightweight battery also, and go with a 6LE targa top over the t-tops

I want to get it as light as possible but keeping it to where I can drive it to and from the track in the rain. Its mainly a track car that I drive around occasionally. I'm still running a stock size battery so that is some weight. And I've never weighed it. It was a loaded WS6 that I added a 9" and sfcs so I figure I'm at around 3350 without me just guessing.

my z28 was 3575 with me (180) in it. I had 3/4 tank of gas and the air pump, front bumper support w/ foam, and all the other non needed plastic and bolts down there removed. so your probably a little lighter

The big things are seats and brakes. Both my door bars totaled 5 lbs.

The cowl removal kit(50 pound reduction) is 175.00 shipped, and the Percy's glass usually runs about 1000.00 shipped for the pair of front and rear(50 pound reduction). I wouldn't recommend running wipers on the polycarbonate windows, although Percy's glass has a hard coating that is extremely scratch resistant.

Found 55# of dead weight between the headliner and the plastic top. Getting it out isn't for the faint of heart but it's up there.

Also, cut center section out of the front cross member and boxed the stub ends. Tied the two sides together with a chrome moly bar to mount the steering rack. That's a great way to make room for a "bathtub" full-length oil pan.

Crossed the scale at 2820# with my 200# *** in the seat, 25# in the weight box and two gallons of fuel in the cell.

Ed Wright saw the car. He can verify those numbers.

He is right. Probably the lightest SS legal F body I know of. We can't run funny window glass, etc.
